Hike Rating: Fun!

Join us and the Chester Hill Association for a fun family snow day on the beautiful mountain top location of Chester Hill!   A large sledding hill awaits us for some tubing and sledding (bring your sled/inner tube we have a few you can borrow just in case), Cross Country Ski trails and snowshoeing in open fields and through wooded paths.  Please bring your equipment!  We will have a large bonfire all day, hot chocolate and cookies.  This is an outside event so dress for the cold.  Donations are appreciated to support both non-profits.

IF THERE IS NOT ENOUGH SNOW….don’t worry we have an exclusive walk planned at 10:00 am to the Historic Ingell Road Cemetery.  Located just down present day Ingell Road, we will walk on the Old Ingell Road, lined with old growth trees to the Cemetery which is landlocked on private property.  Here is where the great H. Newman Marsh lies along with the Colonial Farm he once lived in.   We will tour the cemetery and also see the chapel built by Marsh.  We will then return along the old road to the Ingell Farm where we will walk around the field into the woods and then come out to the beautiful spring fed pond.  Warm cocoa, cookies and something special from Karen awaits us all after the walk.
