Join us for the Encore of the 7th annual group hike of the historic Keystone Arch Bridge Trail in Chester! Costumes optional!
"NOTE PLEASE READ: Due to Current Massachusetts COVID-19 mandates: registration, signing a COVID-19 waiver, mandatory masks and whatever other mandates are ordered by Governor Baker will be required to participate in this event. The number of participants may be restricted. Please check back on this event for any and all updates" You must register for this event using ticket leap, you will receive a confirmation number. This event as of now is limited to 100 people. Masks/face coverings are required as well as 6 feet distance between hikers. All will sign a covid waiver. Hand sanitizer and disposable pencils will be provided. Unfortunately we will not be able to provide a shuttle from the parking lot at the school. You can un-register and cancel your spot at any time here on the event.
The hike will be narrated by Dave Pierce of the Friends of the Keystone Arches.
Enjoy Dave’s incredible narration as he tells of the history of the Arch’s creation, the first cluster of stone arch RR bridges built in America, located on the West Branch of the Westfield River. We will take you up close to all the stone bridges on the trail. Plan for three and a half hours for the narrated hike, spend the entire day exploring if you like! The Chester Railway Station Museum will be open after the hike located at 10 Prospect Street, Chester. Park at Chester Elementary School and walk 1 mile to the trailhead on Middlefield Road, 325 Middlefield Road, Chester, MA 01011. there is very limited parking at the trailhead. Please observe the no parking signs on the Road.
PLEASE READ REGARDING SHUTTLE*Please note shuttle IS NOT available due to social distancing regulations*. We will NOT be shuttling hikers from the school lot to the trail head (approx. 1 mile).
Hike will start at the trailhead at 10 am.
